We are the new media forum bringing the LGBTQ world visibility to its filmmakers, its writers, its musicians, its thought leaders – to itself.

There is a famous scene in the film The Devil Wears Prada where the main character scoffs at a debate over different colors of blue. She is immediately eviscerated by the supreme bitch and truth-teller, Miranda Priestly, who verbally demonstrates that the woman’s own fashion choices are grippingly controlled by the corporate fashion industry without her knowledge or
consent.
So is the case of LBGTQ art and media most of us absorb. Publishers, studios, and music companies spend more money influencing what we take in than they spend producing the media itself. In today’s world, that means an inundation of heteronormative lives with a spattering of queer representation. Our LGBTQ sensibilities, thoughts and emotions are being played by corporate entities without our knowledge or consent.
That is not to say that some of the queer content we are fed is not good – it is. It is instead to point out that there is a world of fantastic queer art, music, and voices that are whispers in the plains of our hungry gay minds of which we do not even get to have awareness.
Enter RatedLGBTQ.Com. We are the new media forum bringing the LGBTQ world visibility to its filmmakers, its writers, its musicians, its thought leaders – to itself. For the last decade, I have been read, and listened to, by multi-millions worldwide and brought visibility to the queer voice from top LGBTQ “A” listers to ones that should have also been at the top but of whom you have likely never heard.
Our editor-in-chief, Brody Levesque has been a decades-long journalistic pioneer behind some of the most powerful LGBTQ media that have propelled forth the queer equality movement.
Each year there are approximately 100 LGBTQ films released by distributors. There are thousands in film festivals around the country. There are about 350 LGBTQ books released. There are approximately 3000 LBGTQ songs launched every DAY. Have you heard of most of them?
No.
Our mission is to illuminate and celebrate the unseen but incredibly rich tapestry of LGBTQ culture by providing a dynamic platform for up-and-coming filmmakers, authors, musicians, and theater producers to share their work, the unique stories informing their productions and creative visions. We aim to connect a hungry marginalized audience to the voices and inspiration of LGBTQ creatives worldwide, fostering a vibrant consumption of relevant entertainment. Through compelling interviews, in-depth features, and thought-provoking content, we strive to elevate the conversation, inspire change, ignite creativity and champion the diversity that enriches our global culture bringing visibility and recognition to LGBTQ talents who have the potential to shape the world.
We live in turbulent times. Politically, we are being dominated by an establishment for which 86% of us did not vote. Worse, there is a guiding faction of that establishment that seeks to destroy our LGBTQ youth and erase the rest of us.
These efforts are not new, and we have faced them and beaten them before. We will again.
How we overcame in challenges past was through building our conceptual community. Independent newspapers exposed us to each other and we found our common voices and sensibilities. Those papers are mostly gone now, having disappeared or having been replaced by click-baity online remnants of what they once were.
Now RatedLGBTQ.com is here. We will not hide the queer voice, we will magnify it. We are here to be your inspiration, your enrichment, your confidence. We are not here to manipulate your clicks, we are here to bring pride into your lives. We will fight the efforts to erase the queer influence and talents and instead make them loud, visible and relevant.
In a world going increasingly bleak and black and white, we are your rainbow.
We represent your new HOPE.
And to quote Miranda Priestly, “No, no…. that wasn’t a question.”
